The Dolby Atmos War Requiem playback in Soho Square Screening Room was a deeply immersive and emotionally resonant event, blending cutting-edge audio technology with one of the 20th century’s most powerful choral-orchestral works. Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, composed in 1962 for the consecration of the rebuilt Coventry Cathedral, is a profoundly moving meditation on the horrors of war, combining the Latin Mass for the Dead with the war poetry of Wilfred Owen. This playback brought new life and dimension to Britten’s masterwork by presenting it in Dolby Atmos, offering audiences a spatial listening experience that revealed previously unheard nuances and emotional detail.

I project managed this event and hosted it as well! It was very successful and even had press coverage by BBC and ITV. Overall, a very successful playback event that showed the importance and possibilities of Dolby Atmos within the Classical Music Industry. This event was in collaboration with Decca Records.
